A Wizard Party!

If you have watched Harry Potter, probably one of your dream will be visiting the School of Magic (Hogwarts) in the movie. Some your dream (including Wizzie’s) might have already came true if you have visited Harry Potter Museum at MBS last year.

Last month, Wizzie visited Saffron’s 8th birthday party and the theme of the party was Harry Potter. The entire party was extremely well decorated to fit a Harry Potter theme. And I do really mean, very well decorated. Saffron’s parents paid so much attention, including every single small details in the decoration. There’s too much to describe on the decoration by words, we will just let pictures do the talking.

Yes they mean what they say. Thankfully I am one!

Isn’t it as realistic as what you get in the movie itself?

Since it being a Harry Potter theme party, it make absolute sense for Saffron’s parents to have wizard theme magic performance at the birthday party. After all it was a Wizard event, how can there be no magic? Wizzie the Wizard was glad to be engaged for the party. It was a great time performing and hanging around with fellow wizards that afternoon, enjoying some cookies and butter beer at Hogwarts. Wizzie felt as though he was home again.

The star of the day is this young wizard, Saffron! Happy birthday!

Wizzie @ Kumon ASHR

On the 26th Jan 2013, it was an important day for some students at Kumon. Some of these children were presented with an Advance Student Honor Roll (ASHR) award for their outstanding academic performance at Kumon. To be eligible for an ASHR, students need to be learning beyond their grades (eg. A primary 3 student learning primary 4 syllabubs).

While it was an important day for the students, it was also an important day for Wizzie the Wizard as he was invited to perform for the kids during the ceremony. The theme for this award ceremony was ‘Never Give Up’  hence Wizzie specially customize his show to fit the theme. While maintaining entertainment of the show (what we always do), Wizzie also included a couple of ‘Never Give Up’ message in the show to motivate the kids under a ‘fun’ setting. Everyone at the event had a blast of time!

At Kids Party Formula, we are always very supportive of including motivating/educating content in our show. Experts have shared that children tend to learn more effectively under ‘informal’ circumstances, which we think that by doing it through a magic show is a pretty good idea. Do you feel the same?

Therefore, we have an upcoming production which is both entertaining and educating! This is what we call edu-taining! Do keep a look out for it!

Children’s Day Incoming!

Hallooo everyone!

As we all know the first Friday of every October is Children’s Day. This is the day where school and parents would throw a party celebration for kids to enjoy themselves to the max. The day where kids are given ‘permission’ to go havoc!

Are you an organizer looking for entertainments for the kids which is fun and yet meaningful this coming Children’s Day? Here are some ideas for your references.

Magic Show! ~ this is a MUST for any children event! Kids are young people filled with full of imagination and creativity, living in a simple and pure world of theirs. The Wondrous Magic Show by Wizzie the Wizard would bring the kids to a land of wonders, showing them things that they do not get to see in their everyday life, things that are impossible and out of the ordinary. During the show, kids will forget about everything (including their homework) and get nothing but just loads of FUN! In recent years, magic show has been so popular among kids event, in fact 90% of the time, magic show will be the highlight of the event. Any middle scale and above event will definitely have a magic show, what about your event this time round?

Balloons Sculpting ~ this is also yet another popular activity for kids event. Kids between the age of 3 to 8 years old love this the most!

Art & Craft ~ fun and yet meaningful activity. Children will not only get to exercise their creativity during this session, at the end of the day they would be able to bring home the handmade handicraft as a souvenir. This activity should be guided by an expert. If you celebration is held in a school setting, this would be extremely ideal!

Just before signing off, here is a quick fact on the origin of Children’s Day! Enjoy!

Children’s Day was established in August 1954 by the United Nation. A conference was held then and the ‘Geneva Declaration Protecting Children’ was passed. Their aim was to protect children from working for long hours and under dangerous circumstances.

Birthday Parties at Polliwogs!

Are you getting headache over where to hold your child’s next birthday party? If so, Wizzie the Wizard would like to recommend this place at East Coast Park called, Polliwogs!

Basically Polliwogs is a kids playground/gym whereby children will get to exercise their muscle and creativity to clear the obstacles! (absolutely safe!) There are many similar kids gym in Singapore, however if you looking for a better one it has got to be Polliwogs! They are huge! In terms of size of playground as well as manpower! Your kids will do great there with their safety most well taken care of.

Polliwogs also have birthday party packages which include usage of the playground, function rooms, food catering, games, balloon sculpting artist as well as magic show! Such a great place to hold a hassle free birthday party isn’t it? For more information, visit their website today!

Just today, Wizzie performed the Wondrous Magic Show for 2 parties at Polliwogs! The morning show was for the 4 years old birthday boy Dylan and the next one for the birthday girl Elicia! Both of them were the star of the show! Such that all their friends rushed up towards them at the end of the show. Reason? That’s a secret!

A Fulfilling 2011

In another 24 hours, we will say bye to 2011 and welcome 2012!

Having look through the the performance images captured during ‘Wondrous Magic Show’, Wizzie is very glad to say that 2011 has been very fulfilling. Through the magic show, Wizzie had brought so much fun, laughter and smiles to the kids and parents. It is amazing how a 30 minutes magic show is able to make the children laugh so hard and enjoy so much.

Just before 2011 end, Wizzie would like to share some ‘smiles’ taken during one of his public show.

A fan of Justin Bieber

Last weekend, Wizzie the Wizard was invited to Harry’s 8th birthday party to present his signature ‘Wondrous Birthday Magic Show’. Wizzie had been to many kids party and every single of them has different theme. However Harry’s birthday theme was a really cool and unique one! The first one that Wizzie has been to so far.

The very moment when Wizzie entered the party room, he thought he was being teleported  to Justin Bieber’s concert, magically! Simply because the place was fully decorated with Justin Bieber’s posters and banners along with Bieber’s music throughout the entire party. Even the disposable utensils (plastic cups, plates and napkins) were all printed with Justin Bieber’s images. Wizzie then realized Harry is a big fan of Justin Bieber and hence explained the Bieber’s themed party!

Birthday Parties!

It was an extremely busy month for Wizzie! Wizzie had been performing at kids birthday party almost every single weekend for the month of October!

Just yesterday (5 November 11), Wizzie performed at Christy’s 8th Birthday Party. Christy is a really cute and interesting girl. Imagine the birthday girl announcing her birthday wish out loud to everyone in the function saying ‘ My birthday wish is that I wish my daddy will allow me to keep a goldfish’ I do truly wish that her birthday wish will come true.

Recently, I had included a new magic effect in my children show and children as Christy’s birthday party were the first to see it. This is an effect based on an activity for which children love doing and I get them to accomplish it in a magical way. The best part of it is EVERY single kid in the show get to participate in making this magic happen! Children who had seen it so far love the effect totally and they do get a lot of fun out of it!

Club Rainbow Colours for Life 2011: Children’s Day Carnival

Some of you might have heard of Club Rainbow. In brief, this is a charity organization which aims to help children and youth suffering a range of chronic and potential life-threatening illnesses. Many of us are very lucky to be able to be living healthily however there is a minority of children out there who are battling illness at such young age. Hence if there is something we could do to help the less fortunate children, we should try as much as possible to help them from time to time.

Last Saturday (8th Oct 11), Club Rainbow Colours for Life 2011: Children’s Day Carnival was held at Expo Hall 4B. That was a one day carnival sponsored by many large organization for which they would bring in games stores, rides and performances. A week ago Wizzie wrote in to Club Rainbow asking if they were keen in having a magic performance (voluntary) at the carnival as he really wanted to do something for the children. Club Rainbow was really interested and offered him a slot in the afternoon featuring the ‘Wondrous Magic Show’ by Wizzie the Wizard at the carnival!

During the show the children sitted below the stage were all participating actively (at the same time behaving themselves) while 2 lucky children were chosen to join Wizzie on the stage helping him out in his magic! The children had lots of fun and laughter throughout the entire show. Not only that, even the adults were having a great time because at certain point of time Wizzie heard the adults laughing even louder than the children… perhaps the show managed to unleash the child within them. Below are some of the pictures taken during the show!

Children’s Day Celebration @ Pat’s Schoolhouse

Happy Children’s Day to ALLL children!!! All of you are the Kings/Queens (at least today)!

I am not sure what the of the school had for their children on this special day but I do know what Pat’s Schoolhouse @ Lim Ah Pin Road had.

Pat’s Schoolhouse celebrated and early children’s day on the 3rd Oct 2011. The school brought in many activities for the children such as cup cake making session, balloon sculpturing, popcorn machine and of cause a must have for every party a MAGIC SHOW! Wizzie the Wizard was there that morning and performed two shows for the children. One show for the nursery children while another one for the kindergarten. For both show, the kids were all screaming at the peak of their voice and what was really priceless was the expression on their face each time they see something magical. Some children also get to help out Wizzie the Wizard during the show and if they perform well they would be given a present (so far everyone who helped has gotten it). After the show, many classes stayed back to take photos with Wizzie, many even tried to squeeze in between one another just to stand a little closer with Wizzie. Wizzie enjoyed himself as much as the children did. It was a Magical Children’s Day for Children at Pat’s Schoolhouse.

A magic show is in fact always the highlight (hence a MUST HAVE) for any kids party/event simply because this is a time where children could scream at the top of their voice, endless of fun and definitely amazing stuff that they don’t get to see everyday. In every magic show, Wizzie also make it a point to make the children (the birthday child in the case of a birthday party) the celebrity of the show!  Wizzie the Wizard is capable in bringing fun, laughter and magic to a party so contact us today to book a show/package by our very own in house Kids Magician, Wizzie the Wizard!
